I believe kings try to build these currents, in hopes that they will bend to their will and machinations when they open the floodgates. But you can't build a force of nature and hope to contain it, and that's what they are. Not slaves.
Makes you wonder who the kings really are.
I would be more direct but the issue with these things is that I can never be sure of the issue.

I'm not sure what kind of slaves you were talking about but I was talking about people enslaved by their own fears and desires
